For extra guidance, set the assistant personality to "Mentor" in your trading preferences; it focuses on first principles and the reasoning behind each move.

There is no fixed message cap. You have a monthly usage allowance and each request draws from it: smarter models use more, lighter models use less. In practice that is hundreds to thousands of messages a month, depending on your plan and the models you choose.

Match the model to the job: save frontier models for complex analysis with many moving parts, and use lower-usage models for simpler tasks. Start a new chat regularly, because even a short message in a very long conversation can use more context than a full analysis in a fresh chat. Caching can reduce usage further when your work stays in the same area.

Caching can reduce usage by as much as 90%. When a task is similar to earlier work or stays within the same context, the model can reuse cached data and charge full usage only for new, uncached content. Keeping related work together and avoiding unnecessary changes to repeated context helps preserve the cache.

That is your choice. Wickline provides the agent, chart tools, memory, and a tested selection of models, from efficient everyday options to frontier models for deeper analysis. There is no single "smartest" pick: some models are more cautious, some explain the move more thoroughly, and some stay straight to the point. Try a few and settle on the one that fits how you trade.
